Block Adware Pop Ups
If your computer allows adware pop ups to appear as you browse the internet, they probably drive you insane. These problems can normally be dealt with yourself, an IT specialist is not required. They should be able to be eliminated by adjusting the options in the computer settings. If there is malicious adware software present, however, the problem is more difficult to rectify.
The privacy settings on the computer is the first place to look to find the built-in adware blocker. Go to Settings in the Start menu and select the control panel. You should see an icon for Internet Options. After you select this, you will see a tab at the top named, Privacy so click on it. What you need next, is to turn on the Pop Up Blocker by checking the appropriate tick box. The trouble from annoying adware will now be prevented, so long as there are no malicious adware programs present. The possibility that spyware is present on the computer makes things a little more complicated. After the settings have been set to block spyware, it should be eliminated. If not, there is probably a malicious program on the system. Spyware programs may show some signs, which you can use as clues. Malicious software can be taken out using one of the many great removal applications out there. Some good ones are; Ad-Aware SE, IE-SPYAD, Spybot Search and Destroy, and HiJack. Windows has a remove programs capability, which you could try to use to find and take out spyware without a removal application. It is found in the Control Panel also.
